In 2016, Brookwood teachers Rich Lehrer and Annie Johnson piloted a Middle School/Seniors “Community Design Collaboration" that explored the potential to connect students to people outside their school in the creation of 3D printed solutions to real world problems. In this pilot, students collaborated with seniors to design authentic solutions to real-world problems and, in the process, gained experience being empathetic change makers and problem solvers in their lives, their communities, and their world. Following the success of D-Zign Girls, Brookwood created "D-Zign Kidz", a year-long 6th grade project expanding the experiences of the pilot. Click on the below links for more information
